We’re thrilled to share the great news that our PhD candidate, Shan Zhang, recently successfully defended her doctoral thesis. Titled “Towards Attention-aware Concept Map based Review in Video Learning,” her thesis represents a noteworthy contribution to the fields of education and technology.

During her research, Shan focused on creating better ways for students to review videos for learning. She worked hard to come up with new ideas, test them thoroughly, and develop advanced tools. The result? A set of techniques that can make reviewing videos more enjoyable and help students learn better.

We’re also delighted to inform you that Shan is already contributing as a UX Researcher at Autodesk. Her skills and innovative thinking are poised to continue shaping the landscape of design and technology.
