We have a new PhD student in our lab, LIN Luoying. Welcome to the lab!

Hello! I’m LIN Luoying, a PhD candidate at City University of Hong Kong, School of Creative Media. I am co-supervised by Prof. Shen and Dr. LU Zhicong. Prior to joining the PhD program, I graduated from Southeast University with a major in industrial design. I believe in perceiving the world by empathizing with others through perspective-taking. My passion is to bridge the gap between design and interdisciplinary fields, as well as to connect designers with underrepresented or unheard groups. This motivation has led me to pursue a career as an HCI researcher. In my research, I use a mixed-method approach to explore ethical issues related to AI in the context of death and post-mortem applications.
